Where is the prostate gland?
The prostate gland is located at the base of the bladder. It surrounds the urethra, which is the tube that urine flows through as it passes out the penis. The doctor can feel the posterior or back of the prostate through the rectum.
Prostate gland - a male gland that is located at the base of the bladder and surrounds the urethra.
Bladder - the structure in the body that stores urine.
Urethra - the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body.
Penis - the male organ used for urination and sexual intercourse.
Rectum - the final, straight portion of the large intestine, ending in the anus.
